Myths about Coaching
Coaching is just a "paid friendship."
Unlike a friend who might tell you what you want to hear, I am a board-certified professional trained in behavior change. Our relationship is objective, goal-oriented, and focused on helping you see the patterns you can’t see on your own.
I’ll just be told what to do.
You hold the map. I am not a drill sergeant or a guru with a generic 30-day plan. I provide the toolkit and the navigation support, but we work together to find the answers that actually fit your unique life.
It’s all about "toxic positivity" and staying upbeat.
Padayon is about "the glimmers and the mud." I won't ask you to manifest your way out of a heavy season. We acknowledge the hard parts and focus on how to keep moving forward through them, not over them.
Coaching is the same as Therapy.
While both are vital, they serve different roles. Therapy often focuses on healing the past and clinical diagnoses; coaching focuses on your present "Internal Blueprint" and building the skills to navigate your future.
Results should happen overnight.
Sustainable change is a slow-burn. We focus on small, evidence-based habits that stick. If you’re looking for a "magic wand," I’m probably not your coach—but if you want lasting transformation, you're in the right place.
Think of it this way: Therapy is like a telescope—it helps you look far back into the past to understand the 'why' behind how you got here. Coaching is like a compass—it helps you figure out exactly which direction to take today to get where you want to go next.
You need to be "broken" to start.
Coaching isn't about fixing what’s wrong; it’s about optimizing what’s right and navigating the "fog" of life's transitions. It’s for high-functioning people who want more clarity and resilience in their daily lives.
